Theodore Cornelius de Groot
1920 – 2019
 
A.K.A. “Dick de Groot”Studied at the prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Holland, from 1939 to 1945 followed by two years of post-graduate work. He immigrated to the United States in 1959.  He was a master at his craft who had a successful career designing, painting and sculpting many noteworthy creations in both private collections and public display. He sold his first paintings to art dealers at age 16, and his career took many turns over the ensuing years. In his 80s and 90s he spent his time painting the real and back city scenes he always found so interesting. He spent his final years in Hunterdon County, NJ, and the Pocono Mountains, PA.A full bio is available upon request.
