We have over a thousand wood (never particleboard, cardboard or foam/plastic) frame samples to
choose from and maintain a large in stock inventory. We also make custom mouldings in-house in our
wood shop. Most frame shops order premade frames from the factory, all our picture frames are
assembled right here at Greenport Art and Design Emporium in our wood shop, translating directly to
savings for our customers.

Do you make custom made mouldings (cast ornate or wood)?
We make more than just custom picture frame mouldings, we also make wood and cast architectural
mouldings. We have moulding machines for wood profiles for contemporary and historical
applications. We have a master mold maker on staff for the restoration and reproduction of historical
plaster mouldings for architectural and picture frame applications
Have you seen the latest acrylic face mount prints?
Yes! These are a more contemporary/modern presentation of frameless prints laminated to gallery
grade acrylic.They feature a deep gloss, 3D effect with unmatched clarity and detail. We print on high
quality metallic photo paper, then laminate the photo paper to clear gallery grade acrylic and sandwich
the back of the photo unit to an aluminum composite material to encapsulate and stabilize the photo
print with a hanging system or a stand-up wood base.
Do you offer painting repairs and restorations?
We can repair rips and holes, retouch, clean and treat for mold. Stop in and bring your project, we’ll
give you an honest opinion on the possibilities.
Who builds oversized stretchers for canvas and framing?
We really don’t have a size limit, if it’s too big to transport we can do it on site. We’ve done some very
large canvases in the past!
Should I ask for conservation mounting and framing?
Any artwork of sentimental or monetary value should have archival materials used to help preserve it.
We only use the finest quality materials for your framing projects. It’s your choice to what extent you
want to go, we carry several grades of glass from our standard Gallery Glass up to Museum Glass, we
also carry several grades of acrylic from our standard Gallery Acrylic up to the finest Optimum
Museum Grades. Our best conservation mat material is 100% cotton, we also carry 100% Virgin Alpha
Cellulose. The backer boards are 100% archival or ph neutral. We use spacers for the glass which must
never touch the artwork. All frames are sealed on the back with either a paper backer of taped seams to
eliminate bug and dust infiltration. We can explain all the options and what is best for you budget.
Can you do custom mirrors and memo boards?
We can make framed mirrors and memo boards just about any size you can imagine from the large
selection of frame mouldings we have available. We use quality 3/16 mirror stock and cork stock
laminated to foam board for our pin up memo boards.
What about custom made shadow boxes and display case?
Shadow boxes are a great way to mount and display many forms of artwork and photography! Deeper
shadow boxes for sports memorabilia and if you have a relative that you love to see but can only take
so much……we can put them behind glass as well.
Where can I get pre-framed ready to hang art for my home or office?
Visit our gallery where you can buy quality framed art at deeply discounted pricing. We have some
original, very nice oil paintings from local and Ukrainian artists, we have a few limited additions, we
have some very nice Italian etchings made on a very old printing press and are hand-colored. We have
a large selection of transportation, nautical, maps and charts, historical and more all framed with our
quality materials and made to last a few generations
Do you do contract work?
If you have a large project like a hotel or office building, professional office, new home makeover we
can help you pick out the theme, get it framed and installed in time for your deadline.
